This year's Anime-Expo was the first time I have attended! I've been to one other convention before, but this was the first actual anime convention for me. It was really exciting, and seeing all the awesome cosplays, the cool booths, and the many honored guests was so thrilling!
The first day was pretty good; I explored the exhibit hall and went to the artist alley, trying to find my favorite artist
. To my dismay, I couldn't find him on the first day! Sadface. So I went back to my auntie's house that day, and looked up the booth he was at. I found out I passed him several times OTL;; But on the bright side, I met various other artists there, like
MyRollingStar
and many many others! I was quite impressed with the various artist works outside of prints, especially the cute plushies hahaha.
So, the second day, first thing I did was visit JohnSu's booth. And HAH! I found him! In person, he is actually REALLY cute xD Hahaha. Like dorky cute! I bought a few posters, but he didn't have any bags/print protectors. So, I put the posters in the biggest bag I had, but one got creased, nooooooo. So I went back to complain, hahaha. But I just really wanted to talk to him, and my friends called me a fangirl. xD The second day was also the day I bought my first set of copic markers! I am really happy that I bought them because they are the limited anniversary edition!! The colors are beautiful, and I can't wait to buy more! To test them out, I drew the Hibiscus picture I currently have in my gallery. Here

The Japanese ladies who were professional manga artists blew me away and inspired me a lot hahaha. I watched their techniques closely ( I know, creepy xP ) and it paid off! After finishing Hibiscus, I drew a picture for JohnSu because he didn't have any bags! >.>
The third day, I brought JohnSu the picture, and he laughed hahaha. He also appreciated it ( or at least I think so! ). I went around to various panels/workshops to find out they were already full xD Just my luck. So instead I walked around for awesome cosplays, watched people play ninja, played with my copics, and hanged out with my friends. I finished my cat girl piece (

I couldn't attend the last day because my dad was being a jerk, but, hopefully next year I get to go alone without him always yelling at me.
I can't wait to attend again! And I really want to set up my own booth in the future, artist alley or not, haha. But, I know for sure I am going to cosplay next time, hahaha. I just need to look into making props... teehee.
